Getting to explore Louisville's Nulu area for this engagement session was a blast, especially since we included places like Akasha Brewing Company and the Louisville Waterfront Park!
Read MoreChelsea and I don’t really have a start to our friendship because neither of us really remember a distinct meeting. But what I do know is that we met at work and I was drawn to her because of her shining soul. And it was because of her amazing personality and personable grace that we would randomly chit chat together.
Read MoreThis engagement session was so precious. Bridget and Adam came to me last fall about wedding photography, and I was anxiously awaiting this engagement session. The weather decided to hold off on the rain and gave us warm weather. These two were troopers for hiking through Cherokee Park with me (Bridget in wedges!), but I had a blast and the photos just show how happy they are.
Read MoreI meet everyone I work with (you know, my graphic design job that I can’t seem to let go of) because I take everyone’s headshot for the company. I remember Zoe being so cute and then also learning that she has a severe allergy and sensitivity to peanuts - making our company peanut-free. While I’m sure that what most people know about her, I’ve gotten to know Zoe so much more.

But, the warmth of their love (yes I made that super cheesy) warmed up the day, melted the snow, and turned into a perfect Spring day for an engagement session.

Even though they have been together for years, their love was still exciting as this day began. The thoughtful preparations for the day made everyone feel at ease – as weddings should be.
Read MoreI was contacted by this couple to do a quickly planned wedding, and the reason was heartbreaking: Bart’s mother was only given weeks to live. Jess and Bart had planned for their wedding later in the year, but wanted to move up the date so that his mother could witness it. I felt (and still feel) honored that I could help them out.
Read MoreWorking together as graphic designers, Krista has inspired me and my creativity. She has no idea how much she inspires and encourages me to follow the passions and dreams I have. Not only does she lead by example by designing in her own unique, bright, happy style, but she also works tirelessly to pursue her photography business and dreams. She is a large part of why I have continued to pursue this photography thing I am so passionate about.
Read MoreOne thing that I adore about Alexandra that she may not know is that she never shortened her name. Yeah, it may seem like a trivial thing, but as someone whose name is very similar in that fashion (Christy isn’t short for Christina, nor would I ever go by Chris), I respect that she loves her full given name.
Read MoreI’ve never met a couple quite like Sara and Mark. They’re love story is more adventurous than I have ever heard. Sara and Mark have traveled all over the world together and have experienced life in so many other cultures. Because of this, they saw that it was important to include their eclectic life within their wedding day.
Read MoreOne of the best parts of my job is getting to know people better in order to capture them correctly. I met Megan back in 2009 when we both began our Undergraduate studies at Millikin University in the Vocal Performance program. Growing alongside of her, I can only say good, if not excellent, things about her. Her kind and open-hearted spirit welcomes anyone to share in her joy for life. It’s amazing what beauty can set free.
Read MoreI met Krista while working in Louisville and I immediately fell in love with all that she is. Her spirit is so gentle, friendly, and energetic. As a fellow photographer and graphic designer, I knew we would click quickly. Then, to hear her talk about Joe was even more amazing. I was introduced to him as Joey Bear, and that is what I called him for a while.
Read MoreProbably one of the smartest power couples I’ve met, Jenna and Jeff got to experience a beautiful wedding day. Although it did drizzle throughout the morning, that didn’t stop the two from being so giddy to be married. The outdoor wedding would still commence! With that positive attitude, the rain moved aside to bring a beautiful overcast day during the hottest season possible.
