The Olmsted Wedding - Louisville, Kentucky || Bridget + Adam
Bridget and Adam chose to celebrate their wedding day at The Olmsted in Louisville, KY. This was the first time I have actually been there, and I will say it didn’t disappoint. While the day was warm and muggy (summer trying to stick around a little longer), the clouds gave some reprieve for everyone being outside to snag some photos. The ceremony and reception was all held indoors.
Bridget and Adam met the modern way - through online dating. Bridget strategically paid for their first date, ensuring Adam would have to take her on another. This was their start of forever. One day after work, while making dinner, Adam proposed and they were so excited to plan their wedding day.
Bridget and Adam incorporated their two dogs into their engagement session, though they didn’t make an appearance at The Olmsted. However, the deep green colors for their bridal party tied in their love for the outdoors in perfectly.
Both Bridget and Adam were just so ready for it to be official that they couldn’t wait to see each other. We planned a first look so that their nerves would be calmed and to get some photos done before the ceremony, but that was sidestepped when Bridget arrived and Adam opened the door for her. They didn’t mind that they saw one another, but, rather, so relieved.
Their ceremony was short and sweet - Adam glowing as Bridget walked down the aisle. A brief surge of the sound system gave Adam a little comic relief and seemed to lighten up the crowd too. A majority of their family came in from all over the country, and people were eager to catch up with everyone.
After dinner, the Maid of Honor and the Best Man gave very heart-warming toasts. They both highlighted hilarious memories of the bride and groom and made everyone laugh out loud. Bridget and Adam are truly one of a kind together. The rest of the night was so fun - while the guests were hesitant to get on the dance floor at first, once people started going, the party felt like it didn’t stop.
At the end of the night, Bridget and Adam got a limo to take them away. They had a sparkler exit down the stairs from The Olmsted and ended their night around 9:30pm. I couldn’t believe how fast the day flew by, but there’s no doubt how perfect these two are together. Wishing them the best marriage ever!!!
