Radner Lake, Nashville, Tennessee Engagement Session // Ally + Jeremy

December proved to be a great time to do engagement photos of Ally and Jeremy at Radner Lake in Nashville, Tennessee. Being from Chicago, December always sounds extra cold to me, but this day had great weather so we didn’t feel crazy uncomfortable.

Ally and Jeremy love that Nashville can offer so much variety in scenery - which is why we chose Radner Lake AND a Pop-Up Christmas Tree Farm for their engagement photos. It showcases how much Nashville has in its vicinity.

These two love to hike, have bonfires, roast smores, and go to concerts together. Talk about an adventurous couple! It was so much fun to see the lot of Christmas trees set up for the pop-up shop. The location definitely gave a great backdrop for feeling warm and cozy together.

And how Jeremy proposed? Men, y’all have a lot to live up to.

In Ally’s words:

“Jeremy planned the most perfect day, he worked on the intricate details for 2 months without me knowing. It started with flowers and a card. On the back of the very sweet card was a clue to our first destination. We started at Cracker Barrel (our fav) and enjoyed a delicious breakfast together. The manager brought me a basket with a little burlap sack and another card. I was given two rules: no asking future questions and no looking in the burlap sacks. The scavenger hunt took us to 14 different places around Nashville that somehow played into our relationship. They were date spots or places that reminded Jeremy of trips we had been on together, there was even one stop at our church. At each stop I found a card that had a handwritten note from Jeremy talking about the significance of the place and another clue. I also found a burlap sack at each stop. The final destination was the park where we had our first date. We hiked out a mile where he had set up a table and rose petals right next to the lake. His mom made a beautiful scrapbook of our first year and he had a prayer journal with exactly enough pages until our wedding. I was finally allowed to open my burlap sacks and inside were puzzle pieces that made a heart. The heart said "Ally, will you marry me? Love, Jeremy". He got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him and gave me the most beautiful ring I've ever seen.”
